Definitely not. Assuming that nobody here has actually seen a dragon, you can design them any which way you desire.

The face certainly adds to this dragons.. "vile" effect. My only concern here is the wings - they seem to be a smidgen too small [to support that body weight anyway... but this is a magical creature, so who cares!] However, larger wings would make this fellow look more imposing and threatening, also considering his pose.

You're right about the wings, but I'm not really sure how to go about fixing it. I'll think about it and see what I can come up with. ^_^ (I'm new to dragons still, lol.)
